Jus Luv offers two core programs
for girls aging out of foster care. One is a curriculum that teaches
basic life skills; A-Nu-U.
The other program is a Jus Luv Inc. Transitional Home
where girls develop more advanced preparedness for the adult world over
the course of three years.
These homes that would
provide transitional housing for up to 24 girls per year. Girls
would be allowed to stay for three years and would simultaneously participate in A-Nu-U, Next Phaze and Women 101 programs. In the third year they
would be required to pay a portion of housing expenses and agree to
volunteer after their time in the home has come to a conclusion.
Year One: A-Nu-U 10 Month Program
This
program is offered to young women who are living in the Jus Luv
Transitional Home or with foster families. It includes cognitive
behavioral group therapy sessions, meditation instruction and a tested life skills curriculum.
Year Two: Next Phaze
This year provides an opportunity to begin applying the skills learned in A-Nu-U while living in a Jus Luv Transitional Home.
Year Three: Women 101
This
builds upon our Next Phaze Program but requires more commitments and
responsibility. While living in a Jus Luv Inc. transitional home, the young women
will be required to take on tasks that will help prepare them to manage
employment, school and finances.
